Canadian Postal Workers vote to strike

Now is the time to make provisions for alternate shipping carrier into Canada. Canadian Mail deliveries may stop on Monday

I don't want to be an alarmist but if you have not made provision for an alternate shipping method for orders going to Canada, this may be a good time. Talks continue between Canada Post and postal workers, but a disruption in service is looking more possible with each passing day. If there's a strike or lockout, delivery could stop as early as Monday.

Canada Post Strike still uncertain

New Fuel Surcharges

As expected, both UPS and FedEx have announced their new fuel surcharges. For air shipments the new fuel charge is 13% and for ground shipment add 7.5% effective April 4th. This is up from 11% and 6.5% respectively. Unfortunately we're not done yet. Don't hesitate to contact me to help you find alternatives for your shipments.

Additional Increases in Fuel Surcharge

As expected, UPS, FedEx and DHL will once again increase their Fuel Surcharge. New CA Sales Tax Rate Effective April 1, 2011

Thirteen cities in California will see their Sales and Use Tax increase again effective April 1, 2011. Four of those cities will join some others who already have their Sales Tax at 10.25%.
