Back-To-Work Legislation was passed by the Canadian Government late Sunday night. Canadian Postal employees will be back on the job beginning Monday June 27, 2011, at 8:30 p.m. Canadian Postal deliveries will probably be slow for a few days because of the large volume of mail that had been held due to the strike.

Looks like the Canadian Parliament is set to to intervene in the strike / lockout. Look for this to be resolved by the end of June or shortly thereafter.

With the Canada Post lockout and without mail service in Canada, it looks like the Canadian government is going to step in. It could take the Canadian legislature about a week to pass new legislation to end the Canadian postal dispute.

I'm getting weary of writing about the Canadian Postal Service but it is affecting companies in the US,  so we have to keep an eye on it. With the Canadian Postal strike most likely starting Thursday, June 2nd and with the rising Fuel Surcharge it will be significantly more expensive to ship packages to our neighbors up north.
